It’s the little things she remembers

Not many people had gathered in the small garden behind Lupin’s cottage. Harry knew most of them. Besides a few men in suits and two women in fancy costumes, standing at the edge of the garden, glasses with sparkling drinks in their hands.
Then his gaze fell on the married couple, arm in arm between them.
Lupin’s hair even greyer than last year, back at Hogwarts, the brown jacket a little shabby and worn out, like most of his clothes. With Sirius next to him, the black suit a little too big for his still too thin frame, but so cheerful and relaxed as Harry had never seen him before.
Like the only thing that mattered was the man at his side.
And Harry chuckled slightly as he thought back to the ceremony. Lupin almost dazed, like he couldn’t believe all of this really happened to him. And Sirius beaming, his smile so bright as if it might split his face in two, after Remus had said I do. Their foreheads together, as if only they both existed in the world.
How rare these moments were, how precious considering what was ahead of them. And Harry really hoped they’d make it, because besides everything else, these two deserved to be happy.
